Admissions
IRANIAN STUDENTS
Admission of Iranian students to Faculty of Electrical Engineering is through nation-wide admission assessments administered by the Iranian Ministry for Science, Research, and Technology. According to the country’s regulations:
Undergraduate Program

Admission to all undergraduate programs is through a nation-wide entrance exam.

Master’s Program
|
There are two ways for admission to the Master’s program: regular admission through the national Master’s entrance exam, and special admission for ‘brilliant’ graduates of the country’s undergraduate programs in relevant fields of study.

Ph.D. Program
|
Admission to the Ph.D. program is also possible in two different ways: regular admission through the national Ph.D. entrance procedure, and special admission for ‘brilliant’ graduates of the country’s Master’s programs in relevant fields of study. In the national Ph.D. admission procedure, first, scientific background of the applicants is assessed through a central national test. Scientifically-qualified candidates are then interviewed by professors at the department of interest for final approval.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Prospective international students can apply to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering for either undergraduate or graduate studies. For this purpose, they are to send a cover letter specifying the program (B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D.) and the department of their interest along with a recent C.V. to the Office of International Affairs of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering via e-mail to: ee.intl.affairs@kntu.ac.ir.
LANGUAGE
Primary language for education at KNTU is Persian. Non-Persian students can take “Persian as a Second Language (PSL)” courses through the university system prior to starting their regular courses.
